Putting your plan into action
Once we know where you stand financially, we’ll focus on helping you meet your objectives. Our financial planning process is divided into three key phases:
•Life Planning
•Financial Planning
•Investment Planning
At the Life Planning stage, we ask questions like:
• What are you hoping to achieve?
• What’s most important to you?
• What are your values?
• What are your goals?
• What are your key relationships?
• What experiences would you like to have?
• What’s important about money to you?
• What is your magic number?
• What is required to enable you to achieve all of these?
Our process enables us to identify your goals and identify the purpose of your goals. It’s not just about obtaining data, it’s also about understanding you as an individual.
Having goals are fundamental to your financial well-being. Goals let you create your future in advance of it actually happening. People often set goals but never quite achieve them. One common reason is that their goals aren’t compelling or inspiring. You’re much more likely to put time and energy into something that excites you, and that’s where we come in.
After Life Planning we move on to the Financial Planning stage where we find out what assets you have now and in the future and how they can be put to work to achieve your goals.
To implement your plan, we need to identify where you stand financially, and what the future might hold, and consider your experience and attitudes. Then we can identify what money is available now and in the future to be put to work to achieve your objectives. We use cash flow software to map out a vision of what your future may look like. We’ll help you visualise your financial future, test different scenarios and instantly understand the impact of key decisions on life events along the way. Based on this, we’ll next come up with a timeline to put the plan into action.

Once we have agreed the financial plan and agreed a course of action, we move on to Investment Planning. Investment planning links your values and goals, your financial plan, your assets and the level of risk you are comfortable with. We produce an Investment Policy Statement to bring all these ideas together in one document.
Our goal-based interactive planning approach is designed to map out your goals and vision. Our Discovery process enables us to gather information required so that you fully understand the recommendations we make. This is backed by cash flow planning software that will transform the way you save, spend and retire – and put you in the driving seat. Our investment process brings it all together and is backed by decades of scientific evidence.
